Today I was a brave little soldier ,I went into a bookies and placed a bet all by myself.The grand national is a national hunt race run once a year and its the race everyone has a flutterf on ,offices run sweeppstakes and its a huge thing,every year I bet but I either do it online or get John to go in but today I was in Middlesbrough and passing Ladbrooks and thought it can't be that hard ,so I went in and put a fiver each way on NIl Desperandum ( seemed apt ) If it had come in first I would have won £266 but it didn;t however it did come in 4th and I won £55 so now I am going to go and buy a handbag I have had my eye on but I haven;t been able to afford the £55 of free money means the bag is no longer expensive but reasonable ................good old Nil Desperandum now if my lottery ticket comes up...........
