the new years started off crackingly, It was a nice day and having called a truce we took Basil up to the moors (We no longer have toby we had to rehome him owing to his bullying of toby ,his harry houdini ways and his desire to kill any strange dog he came into contact with )It was sleeting and hailing up on the hills and very windy abut when you know you can get wrm and dry after its sometimes nice to walk in that weather.We walked about a mile then turned to come back cos sam was crying with the cold , I fell over and thought gosh its slippery carried on walking back to the car .About 500 yards away from the car slipped again and I heard a strange popping/cracking sound which I thought was my welly coming apart as it is part neoprene part rubberwhen I couldn;t get up I thought that I had strained my ankle but it would be ok I hobbled to the car and got in john wanted to go to casulty and I thought it would be ok, we got home and I couldn;t put my foot down so we dropped bas off and went to darlo A&E.it was packed but they saw me quite fast and went from thinking I was just a bit of sprain to a break after I took my welly off and my ankle was 4 times its usul size.I got an xray done and they put a plaster cast on my leg and sent me home told me to go to the fracture clinic on the following mowning .Went yesterdy turns out I have broken my lateral malleus or something in three places .It was slightly out of alignment so the nice plaster tachnician manipulated it it in the hope it will heal ,if not I have to have a plate fitted and it all screwed in but they are hopeful if I stay off it this week then I may get away without the op.The divorce is back on john said ither he or jack had to ogo and I siad see you then
